Halaya!
For my Senior Thesis project, I authored and illustrated a children's book.
Halaya! is a story about a tarsier named Tala who learns how to make a Filipino dessert called ube halaya with her mom.
The Finished Product
Used a technique called book binding to assemble my book. Sewed my own apron, chef hat, and plush toy of Tala by hand. Designed and assembled packaging that contains the book, apron, hat, and plush.
Digital collateral made with SketchBook, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Title Design
Designed the title for it to resemble the gooey texture of ube halaya.
